The number of bloodstock available at Jakarta Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) is still safe. It is certainly not apart from the concern of volunteers who regularly conduct blood donation.

For the blood needs in Jakarta, its number has touched 800-1,000 bags per day," he finished.

Jakarta PMI Blood Transfusion Unit Head, Sali Marsalim said, one indicator of sufficient bloodstock is two percent of the total population in Jakarta becomes a volunteer donor.

"Last year, the number of volunteer donors was reaching 208,584 people," he expressed, Wednesday (7/19). 

By the existence of the volunteer donor, he assessed, the number of replacement blood donors from the family has decreased by 50 percent in the last three years.

"For the blood needs in Jakarta, its number has touched 800-1,000 bags per day," he closed.
